JJPasswordSafe stands for, simply enough, John's Java PasswordSafe. This project was formed because a friend complained that he enjoyed the functionality of PasswordSafe, which is an application that stores passwords in a "safe" so that one password will unlock them all. This concept promotes better security because it allows users to choose good passwords for accounts without having to remember them all. The application handles the security for the user which is the way it should be.
JJPasswordSafe is written in Java, so it is capable of running on any platform with a JVM. It's aim is ease of use and high levels of security.
This project is graciously sponsored by sourceforge.net.
